ABOUT US

The Arms Room

Our temperature controlled armoury is located close by to the channel tunnel near Folkestone in Kent. It was built in line with police specifications and in terms of security it is covered by CCTV and 24 hour monitored response. So your guns will be safe, well looked after and for added peace of mind we can offer insurance.

We offer a range of services for sportsmen from Kent and also for visitors from overseas. Our gunsmith, who has been in the trade for 35 years is excellent in terms of general servicing and also more complex repairs. If visiting the UK for a shooting holiday, we can arrange your UK visitors permits, gun hire and ammunition.

After founding a Sporting Agency in 2010, Mark has been involved in the shooting industry since. With a number of customers from overseas, the Arms Room was launched to operate in tandem with the sporting agency, offering gun storage, sales, repairs and visitors services i.e. permits and gun hire. He grew up in Hong Kong, went to school in England and spent the Summer holidays on a farm in Norfolk, where he became ‘hooked’ on country life and field sports. Mark is now committed to offering a high level of personal service to customers both in the field or in need of gun related servicing.

We offer long and short-term storage of rifles and shotguns. The reasons for storage may include Foreign clients leaving guns in the UK to avoid the difficulties around travelling with them, Shotgun certificates expiring and a need for storage on a temporary basis and domestic disputes.

VISITOR SERVICE

The United Kingdom firearm laws are complex, to say the least.Anyone coming to the United Kingdom to shoot will need a United Kingdom Visitors Permit, which we can arrange on your behalf. If guns are stored with us then we can also deliver them anywhere across the United Kingdom to the closest registered dealer to where you are shooting.

SERVICE & REPAIRS

All repair work is carried out by our gunsmith from his workshop. With 35 years of experience, he is an excellent general gunsmith who is exceptional with both wood and metalwork. He will quickly get to the bottom of any issue and is a master of cosmetic repair and restoration.

What Should I Expect?

The services laid out above are for both locals and visitors from overseas. You can expect a high level of personal service from a small business with a secure armoury, where your guns will be looked after in a temperature controlled environment.

We have a long standing relationship with our gunsmith and have absolute faith in his abilities, whether it is for general repairs or full gun restoration.

Frequently asked questions

Do you offer long and short term storage?

Yes we offer storage both on a long and short terms basis. Whether you’ve got a temporary issue with renewal or a family dispute, we can look after your guns.

Are your gun storage services regulated?

Yes they are regulated by the police and operate as an RFD (registered firearms dealer) with the authority to sell, repair and store guns in our armoury.

Can you offer insurance?

You can either self-insure your guns whilst they are with us OR we can add the value of your guns to our policy.

How do you deliver my guns back to me?

If within 25 miles of Folkestone, then we offer a free delivery and collection service. Thereafter we can deliver guns back to your closest registered dealer or gun shop.

Do you offer a hire gun service?

We do offer hire guns and please contact us for more information.

How often should I get my guns serviced?

Depending on the volume of shooting you do, we advise getting your guns serviced once a year at the close of the season. Try to get your guns serviced well outside of the season to avoid long wait times!

Can you Import & Export guns?

Yes we have an import and export license and can make these arrangements on your behalf.
